Matthew Thalasinos, Coordinator

B.A.: Rutgers University
Major: Sociology
Minors: Elementary Education
            English, with a concentration in Journalism, Media, and Writing
            Speech Arts and Drama, with a concentration in Television and Film

         Educational Administration, Supervision, and Curriculum Planning

Experience: I retired with over 30 years of diversified experiences at all levels.  I am a former coach and also referee and umpire various sports. I am also a musician and perform as a guitarist and vocalist. 

I do all the initial assessments and provide instructional services for elementary level students, special education students and some secondary level areas.  I also provide sports instruction, guitar instruction, music theory and performance advisement.

I have been teaching for 15 Years at the middle school and high school level.
My specialties are in English--SAT and HSPA Prep, and I am also highly qualified in English and have NCLB experience. 
I have been a resident of the Jersey Shore for the past 22 years.

I am currently attending Georgian Court University for a MA in Education, with Media Specialist Certification. 
I have been teaching for 8 years, and my specialty areas are in World History and European History. 
I can also help with research, writing and vocabulary as well as some computer programs.

Kathy Bennett, Lead Teacher for Business and Computer Applications

Masters of Arts in Teaching from Monmouth University

I have 10 years teaching experience with H.S. business and computer applications courses, as well as 3 years of teaching Computer Applications at Brookdale Community College. I have been teaching at the Pinelands Adult School of the past 2 years as well.

I have coached basketball, and I love sports and gardening. I believe that there are no dumb questions and that anyone can learn how to use a computer effectively.
